The Atelier

We build furniture the slow way — one piece, one room, one commission at a time.

Since 1985, Madera Deco has drawn, joined, and finished bespoke furniture from our workshop on Venice Boulevard. We work with homeowners, interior designers, and architects across Los Angeles to create pieces that outlast trends — and the people who first own them.

Chapter 01

Living Room

The heart of the home, shaped by hand.

Sofas, lounge chairs, and credenzas built around the way you gather. Each piece is drawn, joinery-mapped, and finished in our Venice Boulevard workshop — never assembled from a catalog.

Chapter 02

Bed Room

Quiet rooms for restful hours.

Upholstered headboards, platform frames, and nightstands made to outlast trends. We source sustainable hardwoods and finish every edge by hand so the grain tells its own story.

Chapter 03

Dining Room

A table built for long evenings.

Tables that seat two or twenty, turned and joined in our workshop. We build to span generations — solid hardwoods, hand-fitted breadboard ends, and finishes that deepen with every meal shared.

Chapter 04

Outdoor

Furniture that weathers beautifully.

Teak, powder-coated steel, and marine-grade upholstery designed for California sun and Pacific salt. Built to stay out — and look better with every season it sees.

Chapter 05

Commercial

Spec-grade furniture for designed spaces.

We partner with architects, designers, and hospitality groups to produce lobby, restaurant, and contract-grade furniture in real production runs — prototyped, sampled, and delivered on schedule.

Words From Our Clients

“Madera Deco built our dining table from a single slab of walnut we chose together on the shop floor. Three years later it still stops dinner guests mid-sentence.”

Eleanor Vance

Interior Designer, Hancock Park

“We commissioned a full restaurant fit-out — 40 pieces, every one prototyped first. They hit the schedule, and the booths still look new after two years of service.”

Marco Reyes

Owner, Sal y Sol

“The level of joinery is something I have not seen outside of a museum conservation shop. They draw the piece before they cut it, and you can feel that in the finished furniture.”

Dr. Priya Anand

Architect, Los Feliz
